Canada’s Most Respected Retail Bank
Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) was founded in 1864 in Halifax, Nova Scotia and is Canada’s largest bank by market capitalization. The banks personal and commercial banking operations serve approximately ten million clients through a network of over 1200-branches across Canada. In November 2017, RBC was added to the Financial Stability Board’s list of global systemically important banks.

2020-21 Results
Royal Bank ranks first as the Most Respected Retail Bank in Canada, based on the highest RESPECT SCORE tabulated in a national survey conducted among 4,035 randomly selected Canadian adults who are members of the Maru/Blue Online panel between November 26, 2020 to December 3, 2020. The results were then calculated based on the ranking methodology noted previously. The detailed tables for this study are posted here.
